Shannon started dancing like most of our young KCPA dancers at the age of 5 with big dance dreams. She attended Melva Smith School of Dance and then joined her local drillteam at the JV and Varsity levels through highschool. While Shannon was pursuing her degree in Biblical & Theological Studies in college she danced on dance teams and continued taking class until she made the decision to start teaching.
Shannon’s mission is to guide dancers to develop into self-loving movers and to provide a space where students can heal, push themselves, grow and find self-confidence. To Shannon, dance isn’t just a skill, it’s about developing the whole person.
